Affectionately known as 'Captain Marvel' or 'Robbo', Bryan Robson has had an illustrious playing and management career. He played at the heart of the Manchester United midfield during the 1980s and early 90s and to this day remains the longest serving captain the club has had, leading United to 3 FA Cup titles and the European Cup Winners Cup in 1991. He remains, with 90 caps, the sixth most capped England player ever, scoring 26 goals, and captained his country 65 times. Perhaps his most distinguished accolade was England boss Bobby Robson's assertion that he was the best English player of his generation. |
